  • Store heavy items on lower shelves to prevent them from toppling over.
  • Under sturdy furniture such as a table or desk.
  • Against interior walls away from windows, mirrors, and heavy objects.
  • Store at least a three-day supply of non-perishable food and water per person.
  • Include any necessary medications, as well as a first aid kit and flashlight.
