Combining the Wet and Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined
Fold in the grated carrots, crushed pineapple, chopped walnuts (if desired), and raisins (if desired)
Baking
Preheat the oven to the specified temperature
Grease and flour the cake pan(s)
Pour the batter into the prepared pan(s) and spread it evenly
Frosting
In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, unsalted butter, and powdered sugar
Beat the ingredients together until a smooth and creamy frosting is formed
Assembling the Cake
Once the cake has cooled completely, spread a layer of frosting on top of the cake
Place another cake layer on top and repeat the process until all layers are stacked
Frost the sides and top of the cake with the remaining frosting
Optional Garnish
Sprinkle chopped walnuts or grated carrots on top of the frosted cake
