Pre-Construction Phase

During Construction Phase

  • Use a level to ensure the foundation is aligned properly in all directions.
  • Check for any uneven areas that may affect the brickwork.
  • Examine the bricks for any cracks, chips, or discoloration.
  • Ensure that the color of the bricks is consistent throughout the project.
  • Check that the mortar mix meets specifications for strength and color.
  • Inspect the application of mortar to ensure it is consistent and properly bonded.
  • Verify that the bricks are laid in the correct pattern as specified in the design.
  • Check that the bricks are aligned properly in a straight line.
  • Inspect the installation of expansion joints to allow for movement.
  • Ensure that weep holes are properly placed to allow for drainage.
  • Check that flashing is installed correctly to prevent water penetration.
  • Ensure that damp-proofing is applied to protect the structure from moisture.
  • Check that brick ties are spaced according to building codes.
  • Verify that brick ties are securely attached to both the brick and the structure.
  • Clean off any excess mortar or debris from the brick surface.
  • Apply a sealant to protect the brickwork from water damage and staining.
