Patient Care Section
- Ensure all necessary emergency medications are stocked and easily accessible in the emergency department
- Regularly check expiration dates and restock medications as needed
- Implement a triage system to quickly assess and prioritize patients based on severity of condition
- Ensure trained staff are available to conduct triage and initiate treatment promptly
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels at all times to handle patient volume and acuity
- Have a system in place to call in additional staff when needed
- Ensure all patient care activities are accurately documented in the patient's medical record
- Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in a timely manner
