  • Connect OBD-II scanner to check for error codes
  • Check engine performance parameters such as fuel trim and timing
  • Perform visual inspection of engine components for signs of wear or damage
  • Locate the source of the oil leak
  • Remove old gaskets or seals
  • Install new gaskets or seals
  • Locate the faulty ignition coil or spark plug wire
  • Disconnect the old component
  • Install the new ignition coil or spark plug wire
  • Remove the fuel injectors
  • Clean or replace the damaged fuel injectors
  • Reinstall the fuel injectors
  • Remove the engine from the vehicle
  • Disassemble the engine
  • Rebuild or replace damaged components
  • Identify the faulty sensor or control module
  • Disconnect and remove the old component
  • Install the new sensor or control module
  • Remove the cylinder head
  • Inspect the cylinder head gasket for leaks

  • Adjust tension if necessary
  • Locate the water pump
  • Check for leaks or damage
  • Replace water pump if necessary
  • Test alternator output with multimeter
  • Replace alternator if output is low
  • Install new alternator
  • Check radiator for leaks or blockages
  • Replace radiator if damaged
  • Refill coolant after replacement
  • Locate serpentine belt
  • Check for wear or cracks
  • Replace if necessary
  • Locate the EGR valve
  • Remove and inspect for carbon buildup
  • Clean or replace the EGR valve
