General Area Cleaning

Equipment Cleaning

  • Locate the main power switch or circuit breaker.
  • Switch off the power and label it as 'Out of Service'.
  • Ensure all operators are aware of the shutdown.
  • Use lockout/tagout procedures for safety.
  • Refer to manufacturer's instructions for cleaning agents.
  • Select biodegradable or non-toxic solutions when possible.
  • Prepare cleaning solutions according to label directions.
  • Test a small area first to prevent damage.
  • Use lint-free cloths or disposable wipes.
  • Apply cleaning solution and allow it to sit briefly.
  • Gently scrub surfaces using soft bristles if needed.
  • Rinse with clean cloths to remove residue.
  • Remove filters and check for dust or debris.
  • Use compressed air or a vacuum to clean filters.
  • Wipe down vents with a damp cloth.
  • Reinstall filters securely after cleaning.
  • Look for cracks, rust, or loose parts.
  • Check for proper alignment of moving parts.
  • Document any issues or concerns in a log.
  • Report significant findings to maintenance personnel.
