Ensure the fire extinguisher is fully charged and accessible.
Check that the first aid kit is stocked and available.
Confirm that safety decals and warning labels are visible.
VI. OPERATIONAL CHECK
Start the forklift and listen for unusual noises.
Test the lifting mechanism and ensure smooth operation.
Check the steering for responsiveness.
Test the brakes for effectiveness and proper function.
VII. CLEANLINESS
Clean any debris or spills from the forklift.
Ensure the operator’s area is tidy and free of obstructions.
VIII. DOCUMENTATION
Record any issues found during the inspection.
Log the date and time of the inspection.
Sign off on the checklist to confirm completion.
