Initial Assessment
Check the scene for safety

Basic Life Support
If unresponsive and not breathing, begin CPR
Check for breathing (no more than 10 seconds)
Perform chest compressions (30 compressions followed by 2 rescue breaths)
Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) if available and follow prompts
Wound Care
Wash hands or use gloves before touching wounds
Control bleeding with direct pressure
Clean the wound with water and mild soap
Apply a sterile bandage or dressing
Monitor for signs of infection (redness, swelling, warmth)
Burns
Stop the burning process (remove source of heat or chemical)
Cool the burn under running water for at least 10 minutes
Cover the burn with a clean, non-stick dressing
Do not apply ice, ointments, or creams
Choking Relief
Encourage the person to cough if they can
For adults and children, perform the Heimlich maneuver
For infants, use back blows and chest thrusts
Allergic Reactions
Identify the allergen, if possible
Administer antihistamines if available for mild reactions
For severe reactions (anaphylaxis), use an epinephrine auto-injector if available
Seek medical help immediately
Fractures and Sprains
Immobilize the injured area
Apply ice packs wrapped in cloth to reduce swelling
Seek medical attention if necessary
Aftercare and Follow-Up
Monitor the person for any changes in condition
