Pre-Start Checks

  • Ensure there is enough space around the generator for proper airflow.
  • Avoid placing the generator in enclosed spaces or near flammable materials.
  • Open the fuel cap and visually inspect the fuel level.
  • Refill the fuel tank if necessary to avoid running out during operation.
  • Locate the oil dipstick and remove it to check the oil level.
  • Add more oil if the level is below the recommended amount.
  • Inspect the battery terminals for any signs of corrosion or damage.
  • Use a multimeter to check the battery voltage and charge if needed.
  • Locate the air filter housing and remove it from the generator.
  • Visually inspect the air filter for dirt or debris and clean or replace if necessary.
