- Verify that the load capacity matches the specifications of the pallet jack
Operational Checks
- Apply the brakes while pushing the pallet jack to ensure it stops smoothly
- Check for any unusual noises or vibrations when braking
- Visually inspect the forks for any signs of bending or damage
- Ensure the forks are aligned properly and not twisted
- Operate the lift mechanism to raise and lower the forks multiple times
- Check for any jerking movements or delays in the lifting process
- Pull the release lever to lower the forks and release any load
- Check for any sticking or difficulty in releasing the lever
Maintenance Checks
- Use appropriate lubricant for each moving part
- Follow manufacturer's guidelines for lubrication frequency
- Check for cracks, flat spots, or excessive wear
