1. Suspension
- Look for oil leaks around the shock body.
- Check for signs of physical damage or denting.
- Ensure the mounting points are secure and free from corrosion.
- Press down on the vehicle to test rebound and compression.
- Inspect bushings for cracks, splits, or wear.
- Use a pry bar to check for excessive play.
- Ensure bushings are securely mounted and not misaligned.
- Check for any unusual noises during suspension movement.
- Check for excessive movement by wiggling the control arm.
- Inspect ball joints for wear indicators and lubrication.
- Look for any visible cracks or rust on components.
- Ensure all fasteners are tight and secure.
- Visually inspect springs for any signs of fractures.
- Measure the height of the vehicle from the ground.
- Compare left and right side heights for uniformity.
- Check for rust or corrosion that may weaken springs.
