Ergonomics Setup

  • Sit in the chair and ensure your back is supported.
  • Raise or lower the chair until your feet rest flat on the floor.
  • Adjust the seat depth to allow a few inches between the back of your knees and the seat.
  • Place the monitor directly in front of you.
  • Adjust the height so the top of the screen is at or just below eye level.
  • Ensure the distance from your eyes to the screen is about an arm's length.
  • If your feet do not reach the floor, use a footrest.
  • Ensure the footrest is stable and allows for comfortable foot positioning.
  • Adjust its height to support your feet flat and evenly.
  • Sit back in your chair with arms relaxed.
  • Adjust the chair or desk height to achieve a 90-degree angle at the elbows.
  • Ensure your forearms are parallel to the ground while typing.
  • Position your keyboard so it is at elbow height.
  • Use a wrist rest to keep wrists straight while typing.
  • Avoid bending wrists upwards or downwards during typing.
