Refrigerant Charging CHECKLIST

Preparation

Verify the refrigerant type required for the system.

Charge the system according to the manufacturer’s specifications, monitoring pressure and temperature.

Use the scale to accurately measure the amount of refrigerant added.

Document the amount and type of refrigerant added, along with any observations during the charging process for future reference

After charging is complete, close the service valves on the manifold gauges and disconnect the hoses carefully

System Monitoring

Observe the system’s performance during charging to ensure it is operating correctly.

Monitor the pressures on the manifold gauges to ensure they are within the acceptable range.

Check the temperature at the evaporator and condenser to confirm proper refrigerant flow.

Listen for any unusual noises from the compressor or other components.

Final Steps

Disconnect the manifold gauge set and service hoses once the system is properly charged.

Replace any service port caps securely.
