Pre-Resizing Considerations
Review the current instance type and CPU count.
Determine the desired instance type and CPU count.
Back up any important data or create an AMI of the instance.
Stopping the Instance
Log in to the AWS Management Console.
Navigate to the EC2 Dashboard.

Starting the Instance
After modifying the instance type, click on the "Instance State" dropdown again.
Select "Start Instances" to start the instance with the new CPU count.
Wait for the instance status to change to "running."
Post-Resizing Verification
Check the instance's CPU count in the EC2 Dashboard.
Verify that applications and services are running correctly.
Monitor performance metrics to ensure the new instance type meets your needs.
Update any documentation or system architecture diagrams to reflect the changes.

If the instance fails to start, review the AWS Console for error messages.
Check the instance status checks for any issues.
Consult AWS documentation or support if needed.
