Check the level of the brake fluid against the 'Full' and 'Low' markings on the reservoir
If the level is low, add the correct type of brake fluid to bring it up to the 'Full' mark

Test brakes by driving at a low speed and applying them

Drive the car to a safe, open area where you can test the brakes
Accelerate to a low speed and then apply the brakes firmly
Pay attention to any unusual noises, vibrations, or pulling to one side while braking

Safety Inspection

Inspect seat belts for any fraying or damage

Check that all airbags are functioning properly

Ensure that the spare tire and jack are present in the trunk

Documentation

Record mileage and fuel level

Document any issues or concerns found during the inspection

Sign off on the checklist to confirm completion.
